Terms of use
Plain terms for a small service. If something here is unclear, write to us before you pay for anything and we will explain it in a sentence.
Draft legal text. Bracketed fields are placeholders and have to be filled by counsel before this page goes live.
The short version. You keep the rights to what you upload. You can use what you make, commercially, once you are on a paid plan. Do not upload other people's private photos or anything illegal. Credits are not cash and spent credits are not refundable.
1. Who can use Scenedo
You need to be at least 16, and you need to be allowed to enter a contract where you live. If you are using Scenedo for a company, you are confirming you can agree to these terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
- One person, one account. Sharing a login is what the team seats are for.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
- Give us an address you actually read, otherwise we cannot warn you before changes.
- We can close an account that is used to break these terms, after a warning where a warning makes sense.
3. Credits and plans
You buy credits, and one credit makes one image, as described on the pricing page.
- Credits bought as a pack do not expire.
- On a monthly plan, unused credits roll over for one month. Credits bought as a pack never expire.
- Credits are not money, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be cashed out.
- If a run fails, the credit is returned automatically.
4. What you upload
You confirm that you have the right to use every image you upload, and that uploading it does not break anyone else's rights or any law.
- Do not upload photos of other people's children, private documents, medical images, or anything you would not want a stranger to see.
- If a photo shows an identifiable person and you plan to publish the result, get their permission first. That is your job, not ours.
- We store uploads for the period shown in the privacy page.
5. What you can do with the results
You own the output of your own prompts and uploads, to the extent the law allows a machine-generated image to be owned at all.
- Free plan: personal use only. No client work, no advertising, no resale.
- Pro and Studio: commercial use, including client work, print and paid media.
- You do not need to credit Scenedo, though we will not complain if you do.
- We may show a result in our public gallery only if you chose to publish it. Private results stay private.
6. Things you may not do
- Make sexual images of real people, or of anyone under 18 in any form.
- Make images meant to deceive: fake documents, fake identity photos, fake evidence.
- Impersonate a real person in a way that could harm them.
- Scrape the service, resell raw API access, or build a competing product from it.
- Try to break the service, bypass the credit counter, or probe other people's accounts.
Breaking these rules ends the account, and in serious cases we report it.
7. Payments and refunds
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel from the billing page at any time.
- Credits bought as a pack and not used are refundable within 14 days of purchase.
- Spent credits are not refundable, because the compute has already been paid for upstream.
- Prices can change. Existing subscriptions keep their price for the paid period, and we email before a change applies.
- Taxes are added at checkout where the law requires it.
8. Availability
We aim for the service to be up, and we do not promise a specific percentage. Maintenance is announced on the status page, and planned work happens outside European business hours where possible.
Models get retired. When an upstream model goes away, we give 30 days notice on the page that uses it and suggest a replacement.
9. Liability
We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. We are not liable for lost profit, lost clients or lost reputation.
None of this limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, where the law does not allow it to be limited.
10. Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you want, from account settings. We keep invoices for seven years because tax law requires it, and delete everything else within 30 days.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of [country]. Disputes go to the courts of [city], unless your local consumer law gives you a better forum, in which case that applies.
12. Contact
